The Houston Contract Detention Facility is an immigration detention center in Houston, Texas, operated under contract with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Located at 15850 Export Plaza Drive, Houston, TX 77032, this facility holds individuals apprehended by ICE or Customs and Border Protection during immigration-related proceedings.

How to Find a Detainee at the Houston Contract Detention Facility
You can locate a detained individual by contacting the facility’s main phone line between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, daily. Have the following information ready when you call:
- Full legal name
- Any known aliases
- Date of birth
- Country of birth
Direct calls to detainees are not permitted. However, you can leave a message along with your contact number, and facility staff will relay the information to the detainee.
Visitation Hours and Guidelines
Detainees are permitted one contactless visit per week lasting up to one hour. The facility may adjust visitation schedules due to security concerns or unforeseen circumstances.
General Visitation Schedule
Male detainees:
- Sunday through Wednesday: 7 AM to 2 PM
- Thursday through Saturday: 10 AM to 5 PM
Female detainees:
- Sunday through Wednesday: 2 PM to 5 PM
- Thursday through Saturday: 7 AM to 10 AM
Segregation visits: Daily from 5 PM to 7 PM
Visitor Requirements
All visitors must follow these guidelines:
- Present valid government-issued identification if 18 or older
- Submit to pat-down searches, metal detector scans, and belongings inspection
- No firearms, weapons, or intoxicating substances permitted
- Maximum of two adult visitors and two children per visit
- Minors must be accompanied by an adult at all times
- No personal items allowed in the visitation area
Attorney and Legal Visits
Attorneys and paralegals may visit clients daily, including holidays, from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. On court days, legal representatives may arrive as early as 6:30 AM. Each attorney visit is limited to one hour per day.
Virtual attorney visitation is available upon request. Legal representatives must submit a request form to houstoncourtvisitation@corecivic.com with the detainee’s name and the attorney’s professional credentials. Virtual meetings follow the same scheduling windows as in-person visits.
Consular and Clergy Access
Consular officials may visit their nationals in ICE custody at any time, though advance notice is recommended. Officials should bring appropriate identification.
Clergy members may also visit at any time, but must coordinate with the facility’s chaplain’s office beforehand.
Posting a Delivery Bond
A delivery bond enables the conditional release of a detainee while their immigration case is pending. An immigration judge determines bond eligibility and sets the amount based on the nature of the case and the assessment of the flight risk.
The Houston Contract Detention Facility does not accept bond payments directly. The nearest ICE ERO bond acceptance facility is located at 126 Northpoint Drive, Houston, TX 77060, and accepts payments Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 3 PM, excluding federal holidays.
Bond payment requirements include:
- Payment made to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security
- Cashier’s check or postal money order accepted
- Amounts exceeding $10,000 require a single cashier’s check
The person posting bond assumes responsibility for ensuring the released individual appears at all scheduled court hearings. Failure to appear results in forfeiture of the bond amount.
